A professional organization for scientists that publishes a Bulletin on Southern California Science, holds an annual meeting for paper presentations and symposia, and sponsors a Research Training Program for high school students. Other activities include:

• hold an annual meeting for scientific paper presentations and symposia relevant to So. Cal., for which we charge a registration fee.
• publish a scientific journal, Bulletin of the Southern California Academy of Science, to which we sell subscriptions.
• collect an annual membership donation from members of the society, for which they receive the publications of the academy.
  Provide research grants to graduate students.
